As hosts of this big event, we are aware of the responsibility we have towards the environment. It is one of our main goals to make this event not only a spectacular show of freestyle sports, but we also want to stress the importance of protecting the environment and thereby the rivers, which make an event like this possible in the first place. Sustainability is a very important matter to us. To organize the whole event regarding these principles can be tricky and poses a big challenge, which we are very willing to take on.

This includes for example to convince athletes and visitors to use the most environment-friendly way to travel, the choice to collaborate with mostly local and regional partners, to raise awareness about environment protection and sustainabilty or the deliberate close collaboration and partnership with environmental organizations.

This is not supposed to be a bait to get attention by sponsors and the media, but we feel it is our responsibility to towards future generations to do whatever lies in our hands to protect our environment, our planet, our home!
