Introduction

Wednesday, 2nd of September, will be all about water and rivers. In the afternoon, the Swiss Canoe Federation along with the WWF Riverwatch Project will present the "Water Mark 2009". And following to that the WWF Switzerland is organising a panel discussion about this subject.

" How green is hydropower?"

95% of switzerland's rivers are used to generate hydropower. And the last untouched ressources are in danger to be sacrificed for our greed for energy. Rivers and streams are important and precious natural habitats. Come and join the discussion over the preservation of natural waters: lakes and rivers - for your own and our children's good!
